Welcome to the website of SUPERHOMBRE!
This project started out as an experiment and now is an ongoing progression. Music has always been a vital part of my life. I recently came to the conclusion that I need to push myself to dive deeper into my own musical creations... hence the inception of this website! My aim is to release a musical concept as often as I can. If nothing else it will be a means for me to chronicle my musical journal in a streamlined way. Anyway, enough of a disclaimer, please scroll down for the heart of the matter.
PLEASE use headphones or decent speakers otherwise you probably won't be able to hear much.
Song Guidelines:
- All recordings are my original creations
- I've recorded everything using only my iPhone or iPad... no fancy recording devices, laptop or microphones (somewhat lo-fi I suppose)
- Each recording was completed within a max of 3 hours from start to finish... this way I keep things spontaneous

I wrote this song with the intention of bringing an awesome woman into my life and the things that she would inspire in me. The concept of putting my heart on the line, being truly vulnerable, and the butterflies that make us nervous but also make us feel alive.

This is a blues/soul/funk concept with vocals that are inspired by all the things that REALLY matter in life, despite the constant challenges we face. The idea that we are all really the same deep down if we peel back all the differences that society imposes up on us.

I came up with this song while "jamming" with friends a while back. It's been a fun bonfire-style jam that comes back from time to time. I decided to bust out some more lyrics and see where my creative energies would take it. As usual I got tormented as to if it should be a mellow song or have more of a beat/groove... so I made two versions! Scroll down to see the "remix".

I wrote this song while reflecting on the mental "fingerprints" we leave upon each other. I found myself getting a bit more creative with my voice than usual. I also decided to make a "remix" version of the song that's more up-beat (see below for that version).

This song is unlike any song I've ever written... a modern day fairy tale of sorts. Backing vocals by a herd of Coqui frogs chirping outside my window (no sound isolation booth). I've always felt like I was somehow "channeled" to write the song as the lyrics and melody just poured into my mind in a matter of minutes.
